Aegean Sea
VIEW PDFThe tug “Aegean Sea” was built in 1962 by Equitable Shipyard of Madisonville,
Louisiana. In 2013, she was acquired by Burnham Associates, Inc. from Vane Line Bunkering.
This 76’ by 24’ tug is powered by twin Caterpillar 3512 diesel engines, with a rating of 2400
horsepower. Since being acquired by Burnham Associates, she has gone through numerous
updates, and has become an invaluable asset to the company, proving equally capable of
handling vessels in tight maneuvering situations and towing assets coastwise along the eastern
seaboard. Tug Aegean Sea holds a current UTV certification through the USCG and is available for coastal towing along the US East Coast.
