These private projects consisted of removing over 25,000 cubic yards of material to deepen boat slips, dockage depth, and entrances for two separate marinas. This work was undertaken with the “3” dredge with 235 CAT excavator, pushboat STRIDER and one 600 c.y. dump scow. Extremely tight spacing increased the difficultly of the work. Two bridges with less than 1’ of horizontal clearance, shallow water, and limited room in the marinas threatened to encumber progress, but the projects were completed without a hitch. All material was transported to a disclosed location in Massachusetts Bay.
