The STRIDER was designed and built built entirely by BAI as an improvement on all we had learned in the development of the MANTIS. It was launched during the summer of 2009 and has been a huge asset to the corporation ever since. This nimble pushboat, 50’ x 25’, is perfect for pushing large scows in and out of small harbors and rivers equipped with a 350 hp. 855 Cummins Diesel. The STRIDER is also equipped with a Manitex 1770C 18 ton hydraulic crane, which has been used as a dredging crane armed with a 1 yard hydraulic clamshell bucket, the setup is perfect for super tight or extremely shallow dredge work. This nimble rig has helped BAI grow and outmaneuver our way through numerous jobs where anything else just won’t do.
