Burnham Associates has completed the multi-year project of deepening the Plymouth Harbor and federal anchorage in the early spring 2020. Despite an unprecedented series of storms at the start of the second season, BAI’s crews worked tirelessly to complete the remaining areas of the federal anchorage and ensure the entire project was deepened to the Corps of Engineers’ satisfaction by the closure of the 2019-2020 dredging season. Work was completed by February 2020 and the project’s administrative closeout was completed by April 2020. BAI crews were able to complete the work concurrently with the local dredging being performed on behalf of the Town of Plymouth, and were able to coordinate numerous scows and dredges in a manner that both projects were able to be completed safely and without delay.
